God, I cooked 3 meals today and am beat...

My wife took my daughter to visit her apartment where she will be living when she starts college next week.

I woke up and

--made scrambled eggs and sausage with orange slices for the boys for breakfast

--made spaghetti pepperoncino (with garlic, red pepper, olive oil + some pesto and parmesan)

At around 4:30, my uncle surprised me with a freshly caught giant sea bass (suzuki) about 2 feet long, so I:

--made a fish fry with some homemade tartar sauce.

I am beat...

Ima watashitachi mo shima de imasu. Outer Banks no Emerald Isle de imasu. Demo konshu dake. Kyuuka chuu desu.

Tonari no Osaka ita koto ga aru demo hyougo-ken yoku shiranai. Achi wa ii basho desu ka? Nihon ga natsukashi!

I love to spend a day cooking sometimes, particularly when I know others are going to enjoy it.

Is this your first child leaving home?

And yes, my daughter is my first to leave home. I have two sons as well, 15 and 9.

My daughter.... I spent the last few weeks teaching her cooking tips.... God, I am feeling sad about hurt her leaving. Happy, sad, mostly sad...
