Yeah, pricey. I can get singles - flash frozen, vacuum packed sirloins here. A treat, but it works. pinto Mar 2013 #9

I love getting rid of all the leftovers and starting over.

And mushroom and pea risotto. Not much of a multi-tasker, so I'll just stick the chops in the oven while I do the risotto.

We usually go down to the Art Institute to hear some free music on Friday nights and have a couple glasses of vino. Then we have some sort of snack when we get home.

I just happen to have all three things on hand and would love to make a good soup out of it.

It's from a recipe book, however, but I have an ebook copy so I clipped the recipe and posted it for you at my Dropbox:

Hmmm. Doesn't look like this will accept a dropbox URL. I'll try to PM you with the link.

Trenching a bed for cukes against the house this afternoon, so it'll be a quick meal when I get done. Or get tired, lol. Whichever comes first.

The prices are pretty high, but I'm going to keep this in mind.

I am now getting my cheese and wine delivered and I'm able to get fresh produce delivered when we are moored in the town.

But meat has been the one thing that I can't get. I may try this and see how it goes.

Enjoy!

An 8 oz will make a meal today and a burrito tomorrow. That's how I rationalize the splurge.

And they are great.

Beautiful day here. Saw one of our resident bald eagles swoop down and pluck a fish from the river, and that made me wish I had a fillet too. The daffodils and fritillaria are in full bloom; the tulips are about an inch out of the soil. Leaves are appearing on the lilacs.

Thanks, Mother Nature, for the show.
