I haven't made this soup in a long time so I guess it's coming up on the soup roster!

Very tasty.

Also made a salad and tried a salad dressing recipe suggested by a friend. Very yummy and actually in addition to a "salad dressing" I would personally use it as s dip with fresh veggies.

He is a professional chef and of Greek ancestry. I am hoping that it is lamb and roast potatoes. Not sure about the rest, of course.

Only four of us, so not a big piece of rolled leg, with garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Mashed potatoes and gravy, Leipziger Allerlei (a German vegetable medley), strawberries in orange syrup, homemade saffron bread and saffron cake (leftovers from a brunch today), and a boughten raspberry pie, since two of the four don't like breads or cakes with raisins.

My version of Leipziger Allerlei has steamed peas, carrots, cauliflower and asparagus. I sauteed finely chopped onion and sliced mushrooms, stirred in some flour, and used chicken stock for the liquid. Traditionally it has the nice fat, white German "Spargel" (asparagus blanched by piling dirt around the shoots), but American asparagus is a nice springtime taste also.
