Related: About this forumRoasting corn. I love corn roasted but it takes forever on a stove top "grill" or in the oven on
broil. I am wondering if I can shorten the time by microwaving the corn for a few minutes before oven roasting?

(60,014 posts)(on high). Sounds like a long time...but it works. Pretty easy, too - stick it in, turn it on, go drink beer or wine for 16 minutes, come back and it is done. Beware - it really heats the cor n from the inside, so stays really hot (mouth burning warning!)

(5,477 posts)then husk them (they *do* slip right out, as in the video link above). Then I butter them and toast them on the grill a little bit until nicely browned. When I used to soak them then grill them I always wound up with burning husks, and not so much 'grilled' flavor. By toasting them with the butter already on you get a nice, even coloration and great flavor.
