(35,649 posts)My auntie, who is in senior living, sings in a choir. It does so much for her spirits! And have you heard about the book written by a woman who tells of the positive benefits of being in a choir? If not, I'll look it up for you and post back.
I'll be making vegetable lasagna for tonight's dinner. I'm fooling around off and on in the kitchen all day as I do a little of that, a little work outside, and a little paper grading and organizing for the week ahead. Fabulous weather in Jersey.
My lasagna has goat's cheese, eggplant, and zucchini in it.
Already today I made a big pot of pumpkin spice tea. I put cream and a little agave in it. So wonderful. Next up will be lemon balm, probably the last of the season from fresh lemon balm.
Spicy hummus. Been working on that this a.m., too. Made the beans from dried, though the recipe said canned. Hate to use canned beans.
But now I have to go find LOLcats thread. Sunday isn't Sunday without my cat laughs.

(22,136 posts)Your lasagna sounds wonderful . The pumpkin spice tea.....wow!
I'm not crazy about using canned beans either, but the garbanzos seem to take forever to cook!
The concert was great. We had a bigger turnout than I thought, since there was a Steelers game on at the same time. Sadly, we didn't miss much of that performance!! We always have a sing along with the audience for a few old songs, so that's nice to hear the audience sing to us .

Either going to order it or maybe her husband will make it.
Her husband did make the pizza! Literally the best I've ever eaten.

I think there will be friends dropping by for wine and snacks off and on. I've got cheese, crackers, half an apple and some pepperoni. If anyone sticks around for dinner, I've got a couple pork chops and can make caccio e pepe.
Reminds me! I need to put some white wine in the fridge!
Hope everyone has a nice Sunday evening.

Idea hit me right in the grocery store that morning and had me scrambling to get the ingredients. Everyone here liked it, so I call it a success.
