I haven't had that in years. I love it.

I'm cooking for my elderly mom and she wanted breakfast for dinner so I made her biscuits and gravy and eggs.

I'm going to do some of those crispy chicken pieces with sauce, the recipes of which are found on another thread in this forum.

Cucumber salad in sour cream with fresh dill.

I have some leftover steak, so I'll slice it thin and fold it into some sauteed bell and jalapeno peppers, onions and sliced tomatoes.

Oh yeah, with guacamole too!

And you are going to use your propane torch!

I am going to make the zucchini/leek soup that I didn't get around to yesterday and do a reprise of that great spinach salad that we had last night.

Don't want to rub it in, but it's too hot here to turn on the oven.

Cooked it up simple - Sliced and quartered, browned in olive oil with garlic. Al dente pasta into the pan with a bit of the pasta water. Added parsley and some mixed greens. Tossed, tossed, tossed to finish. Drained and topped with bread crumbs, grated parmesan / romano and yet a little more olive oil. Red pepper flakes, basil, oregano. Let it sit a bit (something I don't usually do) then tossed again and served it up.

A hit!
