I brought my friend a jazz band dish spoon from New Orleans so she is trying Creole Shrimp NOLA style and I'm making creme brulee.

I'm cooking for my elderly mom and she wanted breakfast for dinner so I made her biscuits and gravy and eggs.

I am going to make the zucchini/leek soup that I didn't get around to yesterday and do a reprise of that great spinach salad that we had last night.
Don't want to rub it in, but it's too hot here to turn on the oven.

(106,886 posts)Cooked it up simple - Sliced and quartered, browned in olive oil with garlic. Al dente pasta into the pan with a bit of the pasta water. Added parsley and some mixed greens. Tossed, tossed, tossed to finish. Drained and topped with bread crumbs, grated parmesan / romano and yet a little more olive oil. Red pepper flakes, basil, oregano. Let it sit a bit (something I don't usually do) then tossed again and served it up.
A hit!
"chorizo/jalapeno sausage" sounds totally awesome!
