(37,206 posts)They get covered with BBQ sauce and baked for 6 hours at 225 degrees.
Cuz it's too cold and rainy to light the grill which is overwintering in the garage anyway.

(146,218 posts)and it didn't come out right at all. So i'm not sure what to do with it. Maybe just fry it in small pieces?
Leftover blackbeans, avocado/tomato salad.
My cookies are great and once it cools down, I'm going to bake up some more of them.
How about you!

(39,961 posts)for Manioc? It seems like that would be the consistency and they would be able to give more even results? Just a thought.

(146,218 posts)I rolled it into small balls and thought I might fry it, but I will take a look.

(39,961 posts)they are my favorite vegetable. I could sit down and eat them by themselves. In fact, last night, I had to restrain myself from eating all of the ones I cooked. It was icy and I had to make do with what was in the pantry and freezer!

(39,961 posts)I also adore cabbage cooked the right way. Brussels sprouts I also like, but I will get in front of you to get some good green beans

It's so good, you can devour it with a knife, fork and taste buds that nearly drip. A few pieces of corn bread don't hurt, but since I don't like it, I make biscuits.
EDIT: I'm a bad Southerner. I don't care for corn bread, if you can believe it. Biscuits are another story, though.

(175,691 posts)They're good. My nephew, who did basic training at Fort Benning, developed a taste for biscuits and gravy. I just like them with butter.

(39,961 posts)Is a specialty of mine. I'm not too big on fried round steak that goes with them, but the biscuits under peppery, bacon or sausage gravy is the best. Add a side of grits, and you have a meal!

(39,961 posts)I made Turkey breasts baked in Chicken stock, with stuffing, buttermilk biscuits, rice and green beans. It was cold and still horrible to drive on, so I had to clean out some of the stuff in the freezer to make a meal. It was delicious, if weird to have baked turkey in the middle of the week. I still have plenty left, so that is what will be for dinner again tonight. Mom and Dad loved it .

This might be a BAD mistake ..... but I'm going to give it a try.

(146,218 posts)Are you using leftover stroganoff?
It could be great, then again
.
Can't wait to hear.

(6,057 posts)This leftover "stroganoff mini-pot pie" experiment turned out to be something quite awesome!
When you experiment....... sometimes you win....... sometimes you lose. I won this time.

(39,961 posts)Please post what you did - I know you have part of B2G's recipe, but how you executed the putting it into the crust, etc. would be helpful! I know I sure want to make it.

(6,057 posts)I cheat and use my favorite frozen pie dough. Thaw this dough at room temp until it's very malleable, then I cut the dough into a 6" circle (using a saucer) for a template. I then place and press the dough into a greased (sprayed) 5" aluminum pie pan. Bake in pre-heated 400f oven for 5 min. The dough will bubble up from the bottom ...... so poke it with a fork to deflate and continue to bake crust until almost golden brown (an additional 20 min or so). Fill in leftover beef stroganoff filling and continue to bake (additional 20 min?).
I don't use a top crust.

(39,961 posts)that sounds great, and I am eager to try it in my own kitchen.

(39,961 posts)I love Beef Stroganoff! with a nice crust with noodles and the meat in the center? Um, yes. I'll try it! Please post the recipe.

(6,057 posts)Great with buttered noodles. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1157&pid=38279
I used the left over Stroganoff "sauce without noodles" and filled it into a mini-pan with pre-baked pie dough. Continued to bake this at the same 400f temp. until the Stroganoff was piping hot.
Crusty pie dough filled with savory juicy beef Stroganoff. It's good!

(39,961 posts)I love Stroganoff as it is, but in a crust? Yes, please!
EDIT: That sounds perfect! I've got to try this.
