Tom Colicchio ramrodded his choice through and totally insulted Emeril IMHO

(4,238 posts)Under seasoned food AGAIN, and screaming at servers within ear shot of diners. I can't believe that with a talented pool of chefs this season -- most notably Nina and Shirley -- this asshole takes it.
Oh, and fuck you Padma and your narcissistic need to constantly show off your boobies. She treats the kitchen like it's a fucking catwalk. Girl, BYE!

I was ranting along with thousands of others on twitter yesterday #topchef, and Tom Colicchio actually responded to me a couple times.
He said that they don't factor in yelling or personality.
I told him I was pissed that he insulted my favorite chef, Emeril. Emeril told him his duck was inedible and Tom totally blew that comment off. He replied that they all deliberated for 4 hours.
You could tell asshole tom wanted Nick and he ramrodded the decision

(4,238 posts)Given her antics on this show, I'm leaning towards his description of her: an incredibly vain, self-absorbed gold-digger with irrational bouts of jealousy and hostility (especially if another attractive woman is around.) And this is a man who barely had a negative word to say about any of his exes, including one he had a very nasty divorce from.

(16,334 posts)Nick just seemed like an ass the whole time. And Nina was far more consistent. IF the service really went off the way they showed it, that was all the more reason Nina should have won. With editing, you just can't tell.
I was happy Nina won fan favorite and $10,000.00! I suspect she is going to do very well in the future.

(42,770 posts)going in to deliberation, Nina's extra courses, minus Nick's outburst, minus Nick's raw and chewy duck served to Emeril, should have given Nina the win.

(7,720 posts)He also did well on the penultimate episode. What is i teresting is that none of that matters. The judges choose the winner of Top Chef based only on the food served to them during that challenge. It does not matter how they got to the finals or what happens in the kitchen.
