..... a trick I learned from "somebody" here on the Cooking & Baking Group.

I also threw in some chopped green bell pepper into the mixture. Had to adjust bake time a little bit from my "plain Jane" recipe but..... WOW! It's goooood!

Probably with a baked potato unless I get energetic enough to cook rice or noodles. It's too damn cold. At 1 PM it's still only 29°-which here in Austin is about 30 degrees below normal.

Just got home from grocery shopping and putting away groceries. It's snowing and I don't feel like cooking anything.

with whipped potatoes and steamed carrots.

...and beer.

Edit: decided to make a honey/cayenne/tabasco dipping sauce for the fried chicken. Since the tabasco has vinegar in it, this ought to prove to be a sweet-sour dipping sauce, with extra cayenne pepper for heat. I hear this type of dip (or glaze) is pretty popular in the southern states, and it sounded awesome to me when I saw this on "Triple-D" the other day.

Had a friend over, that almost never happens, lol. She liked my cooking so she's going to come over more regularly.
