If I get off my lazy arse, then I'll buy some salt pork and make cod chowder. If not, then it's baked cod with tomatoes, potatoes, onions and basil.

Great minds, etc...

No great mind here. But I've become a master of improvisation as a result of my piss poor shopping and meal planning skills.

No bacon in the house either.

And, I've got to get to the store, cuz I noticed I'm out of a few other things. Like tomatoes, so even my fallback dish can't happen...

Off to the market, I go!

I end up making soups and stews in order to save the perishables, then freeze everything until I'm in the mood to eat them. Doesn't always work though.

Oh, and tonight's "coin toss" goes to the baked cod with tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, basil, and drizzled with olive oil.

I did buy some salt pork, and stuck that in the freezer for the next chowder.

There was really no coin toss. It came down to using ingredients I had to "use or lose". So I went with the chowder.

I've been getting better at organization and planning......... but I'm still not quite there.
