and oven-roasted garlic spuds, and oven-roasted asparagus with Parmesan.

It seems that every single grocery store in a 10 mile radius of my house has asparagus on sale this week. So, when in Rome...

It's better the next day. I'm also making fresh buttermilk biscuits, which I don't eat but my husband likes.

The stomach flu has been making the rounds at the B2G house and it's the only thing everyone thinks they can eat tonight. Ususally reserved for Sundays, but they're all so pathetic.

I'm hoping to invent some type of bean soup tonight. This will be much later, as I had a late lunch. I have these gorgeous giant lima beans and cannellinis, too. I'll probably use onion, carrot and celery. Lots of herbs, esp'ly winter savory, which is terrific in a bean soup. A combination of bean and chicken stock.

I would also like to do an Asian salad to take to work tomorrow. The salad recipe I chose is from a cookbook I checked out of the library and it's called Veg. It has snow peas, cucumber, roasted peanuts, several herbs (coriander, mint, basil).

Lime juice, sesame vinaigrette, some hot sauce. Crispy rice noodles. It worked.
