Or.... even reheated chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans.
Or.... an orzo chicken Avgolemono soup.

Scratch that, something's come up so the pizza is for tomorrow. I'll have chicken Kiev (solidarity?) and a salad tonight.

A broccoli-onion-thyme wrap, though, for starters.
Grilled pineapple for dessert. I grill it with hazelnut liquer as a basting sauce.

(41,694 posts)This little place not too far from me has the most delicious baby octopus in a spicy black bean sauce. So tender it practically melts in your mouth.

(8,646 posts)The vegetable stuff was too spicy for the kids - it had harissa in it that I made from scratch (Thanks to some links from DUers here). It tasted great, just a bit spicy. Oh, and I remembered how I didn't like eggplant, LOL. Next time I'll double the zucchini or something.
I also made dessert tonight, which pretty much never happens. I used up some stuff I had left over from Christmas baking. I made 'cheesecake' tarts with stewed strawberries (from frozen) on top. Those were a *huge* hit, LOL.
