Is there a taste difference between Ground Turkey and Ground Chicken?

I found a meatball recipe that calls for Ground Chicken. But I can't find Ground Chicken, just Ground Turkey. Is there a taste difference that is big enough to change the taste?

I've cooked with both. Turkey is bland. Chicken is easier to season. In_The_Wind Mar 2014 #7

although others may differ. Even with the slight taste or texture differences that may exist, though, by the time you spice 'em up and cook 'em up with whatever sauce you use, who would know?

Go for the ground turkey.

An older chicken or turkey and/or one that has truly been allowed to free roam will taste considerably different than the very young grain fed chicken or turkey you usually find at the market. For most mass marketed birds there's a bigger difference in taste between white and dark meat than between a chicken and turkey. Domestic waterfowl are a different story because they have fat and lean muscle meat in different places.

If you really want to use ground chicken instead of turkey you can grind boneless chicken in a food processor, but I doubt you'd notice much difference.
