(29,098 posts)What you can't see in the picture is that on the other side of this island is an area with my husbands pool table. We are going to have a table top made for it so it will be additional dining space. I'll update my OP with a picture of it in the morning. We needed something on wheels that provided more storage to allow for clearance when he is shooting and this set up was perfect and very reasonably priced.

(35,619 posts)I liked 'em both.
You will, however, love love love that super-powerful looking range hood. Did you vent it out to the right?
I had to move mine from one side of the room to the other. Cost mucho big bucks for all the re-wiring, etc.
Another nice feature of your kitchen is that lovely window. That must be wonderful to look out on! What's the view?

(29,098 posts)My window partially faces the house next door but beyond that are trees, other houses and a bit of the lake. Looking in the other direction is the street. Straight ahead are trees and the neighbors front yard which is beautiful. When we bought the house there was nothing next door...So when the house was built next door and took half my view it became a sore point for me. It's the reason we left this home 15 years ago. I'm glad we were able to keep it as a rental all those years though because I now have a lovely little rambler that I can age in place in. Still hate the honking mini mansion next door but meh....I am still very fortunate.
