but I find most heavy meat dishes, especially the ones that combine several species in one dish, to be heavy and greasy just from reading the menu.

However, if you want to mush bird species together so that none of the distinctive flavors of each come through, be my guest. Just don't complain about a cat's mortality rate on songbirds, you'll have contributed to it.

I'd also be a bit concerned that the outer layers would be overcooked and dry as cardboard while the innermost layers would be raw.

of cooking this recipe, just posted it as a historical curiosity. If I wanted multi birds cooked together in much the same way, I would get a McDonald's chicken McNugget (which I won't ever do).
