I have some leftover steak from a couple of days ago. I'll do a flash cook with bell and jalapeno peppers, onions and tomatoes, fold in the steak at the end to warm. A little lime and cumin, too. Also, a fresh guacamole to top off.

And beer.

Toasted rye rounds w/ sharp cheese, sliced tomato and basil. Broiled tuna slices, cold w/ horseradish. Pita bread wedges w/ hummus. Sliced cucumber w /sesame oil, red wine vinegar and dill. Olives. Yogurt. Sliced watermelon w/ mint and cantaloupe w/cinnamon.

Not much of any one thing but enough to make a meal plus a snack.

It was in lemon-wine sauce. Totally out of this world. I didn't make it. I bought it at the grocery store take out. They did a great job, though.

I did have a salad I made. Nothing unusual--just chopped lettuce, tomato, scallions, and cucumber. I topped it with chow mein noodles and chipotle-ranch dressing.

I haven't had that since I lived in Rhode-y (28 yrs ago), and caught the dang things myself.

Very sweet, nice flaky fish. I used to like rolling them up in a crabmeat-graham cracker stuffing (w/ onions and bell peppers). Sometimes, a nice shrimp-cream sauce over the top.

I really have to make it back to the Nor'east. If only for the food!

mixed greens, red onion, pine nuts blue cheese and a simple vinaigrette. this was preceded by a fee slices of angel food cake. there is nothing wrong with eating dinner in reverse.
