(8,646 posts)we do that every so often, but today it was because I was LAZY and didn't get around to the promised pancake breakfast in time. So we're having it for supper. Pancakes and bacon. Various toppings for the pancakes - yogurt, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, nutella, and pancake syrup.

(50,130 posts)...cuz a turkey's in the oven. I need the freezer space for upcoming farmers market berries, so we're having the turkey. Also roasted redskins and asparagus with orange zest butter. An apple slaw. For dessert, lemon angel pie.
No bread with dinner. I have many loaves of various Panera breads in the fridge -- they were selling day old when I was there the other day. Gotta watch the carbs.

(7,720 posts)And I forgot to put the meatballs in.
I've done that. With so many people, and so much going on, the most basic things get missed.
To quote Homer Simpson: "Doh!
I'm sure the dinner went well.

(28,456 posts)Cinnamon french toast, omelets made to order, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, blood oranges, bananas and pineapple), and a spiral ham. Compared to Thanksgiving, it seemed like such an easy meal, and was waaaay tastier than what we normally do for Easter: ham, mashed potatoes, peas, and mashed turnip my SO insists on making that no one ever eats.
My SO seems to think his sister is a particularly fussy eater, so most of our holiday meals have been pretty bland since we've been together (3 years). But this past Christmas and now Easter he seems more willing to change up the menu, and she's been totally open to it. Which is such a relief for me, foodie that I am!

(51,907 posts)Roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed taters, sweet potatoes with cardamom and tarragon, peas and onions, cauliflower with artichoke hearts. BIL brought over a cherry cheesecake, and we had leftover chocolate and raspberry cake from DH's birthday a couple of days ago.

(9,791 posts)We also had homemade ravioli, roasted asparagus salad with vinaigrette dressing, cucumber sour cream salad, kielbasi and paprika bacon. DH bought Paska bread, nut and poppyseed rolls made by the women at his Catholic parish. We'll be eating leftovers until Wednesday.
