'Cuz I'm really busy cleaning up my house in anticipation of a childhood friend's visit.

Meatloaf that's leftover, but I know is delicious. Baked potato. Maybe I'll do some breaded zucchini slices if I have time.

My friend has never seen NYC, so I'm taking her all around--Empire State, Times Square, Museum of Natural History, MOMA.

So much to do; fortunately the RG hired lots of help for me but it's still a lot of work getting the place presentable after the winter we had.

It's out in the boonies, but I loved my visit there. So peaceful, so serene.

Now that all of the leftovers have been eaten last night, I'm not in the mood to make more. So, it's takeout pizza tonight. We have a nice ma & pop place up the road, which has really good sauce.

Can't wait for supper!

I had no enthusiasm to do anything more complex. I did have an omelet for breakfast with an early banana pepper off a plant in the garden. (One I bought as a plant, however, not one I grew from seed. None of my seedlings of any sort are more than about a foot high yet.)

....and petite peas. Comfort food!

Crazy day. Went to the assisted care facility where two aunties live; several cousins lunch there weekly. The facility was in the process of evacuation because a resident had somehow detonated a bear repellant in the lobby. Why he had one in his pocket there, I have no idea. So the cousins lunched elsewhere and when riding with a cousin we were rear-ended! Came home to find three big fluffy bunnies literally on my doormat. They have come here from god knows where, have been her a few days now.

....so it wasn't this Easter. They are domesticated, though so it is likely that someone dumped them.

I live in a very green area near two parks, and few neighbors have fences, so there is plenty of vegetation for these buns. There are also predators. Eagles nest nearby, and I'm told there is an occasional coyote although I haven't seen one. The word is out on the neighborhood email about them. Hopefully someone will want them.

in your state. Georgia has one that rescues, rehabs, coordinates foster families for these sweet little creatures. Good luck. I hope you find a home for them soon.

because I'm not cooking today, LOL, I have class.

Yesterday we had pork tenderloin stuffed with feta and wrapped in prosciutto, mashed potatoes & leeks, and sautéed zucchini. Oh, and salad.
