I'm about to ask a weird question: Can canned tuna be frozen?

Here's the reason I ask; I have one of those caveman sized cans of tuna from costco and want to make tuna fish salad but NOT FRED FLINTSTONE PORTIONS. Can I freeze the rest?

It works fine. Just be sure to wrap/package it tightly so the fishy aroma doesn't get into other foods.

Squeeze out as much air as you can and be sure to use it up within the next month. You'll still lose texture but since it's going to be mushed up with mayo and celery, that shouldn't make a huge difference.
