What's for Dinner, Sun., July 6, 2014

I think Thai soup, as I was so tired after making it that I hardly had any. It won't even seem like a "leftover."

I already made a terrific salad for tonight: Brussels sprouts with avocado. The fresh lemon and toasted pecans are fabulous in this salad. Martha Stewart recipe.

Now, off to the gardens. I scored an entire flat of leeks at our nursery's July 4 sale for only $3.60! I have to clear out an entire raised bed to plant them, though.

Hmmmm, maybe I don't. Maybe I should just plant them here and there.

I haven't made it in a while, but the house now smells divine... potatoes, carrots, onions, tons o' garlic, and a beef chuck roast.

(Note to self: watching the oven door doesn't make the roast cook any faster.)
