That's it. I'm thinking of using a jasmine tea bag when I boil the jasmine rice. Might get double flavor that way.

(47,675 posts)She's running around like the proverbial "chicken with her head cut off" trying to get ready, but she's far more ready than my wife and I are. We'll miss her - she'll be there for four months.
I made red lentil dahl for her two nights ago (perhaps her favorite meal). Tonight will probably be something simple and quick.

(32,079 posts)A baked potato and broccoli on the side. I'll be using some of the leftovers tomorrow in Pho. Pacific Foods has a "Pho starter" out. I got some on sale, and will be checking it out tomorrow.

(9,791 posts)This is a very hearty soup that works well on a cold blustery day. All you need to complete the meal is a fresh loaf of bread and some butter!
Sausage Tortellini Soup
1# Bulk Sweet sausage
1/2 C Chopped onions
8 Cups Beef broth
1 can Italian seasoned diced tomatoes
1/2 bag frozen chopped spinach
1 Cup Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini
Saute sausage and onion until sausage is no longer pink and onions are translucent. Add broth and bring to a simmer. Add tomatoes and spinach and bring to a slow boil. Add tortellini and continue cooking until tortellini is done.

(9,791 posts)I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's one of our favorite soups. It freezes very well if you have any left but that rarely happens around here.
