OK, we've all done this...
You wake up at 2 am, and you are kinda hungry. What is your go-to yummy-ness at 2 am?
For me, it's a salami and pepperoncini sangwich. I just don't think that eating something pickled before bedtime gives you nightmares... (sorry Mom)... LOL!
Cold fried chicken, Check.
2 day old veggie pizza? Check.
A cold leftover pork chop? Too cool.
Chick pea mash on a corn tortilla? Yep.
You?

(111,245 posts)except for liquids. I sleep better that way.
An early evening snack is likely yogurt and a handful of Cheerios, something that seems to be keeping my cholesterol in the basement instead of the stratosphere.

Never thought of that one. The things I learn on the C&B group...
I'm not a desert guy (hate processed sugar), but my latest 'desert-like' thing is unripe nectarines with yogurt. I dig the crunchiness (and sweetness) of unripened nectarines, with the creaminess of yogurt.
Yum!

But I could eat salami and pepperoncini at 10 p.m.! I love them together on sourdough roll. In fact, I drizzle some pepperoncini juice on the roll, too.
I always thought it would be cool to make a drink called a cini tini. Pepperoncini instead of an olive. But I don't drink tinis.

(2,016 posts)I get the whole 'dirty martini' thing...
I'm an olive junkie... especially when they are stuffed with anchovies or bleu cheese.
Not so much on the gin thing (I think it is the juniper berry flavor that turns me off. So I go vodka...)
Those purists of the grand 'martini'...flame on...
Ya know... why not?
A 'cini tini.' Makes sense to me (I know, I'm weird.)
