What's for Dinner, Fri., Oct. 31, 2014

I'm making chicken breasts with Trader Joe's Girasoli Ricotta and Lemon Zest. I bought a package a week or two ago, and it was so good I bought another.

I got the cooking instructions from the RG. It will be in cream sauce with peas. Herb is sage.

I'll also make a salad, just a simple tossed green salad with baby cucumbers, radishes, peppers, etc. I'll go scrounge around the last of the cherry tomato plants and get whatever's left there.

Yay, Friday night! Two true crime shows tonight! I hope I don't get any trick or treaters, as I bought little bags of popcorn for them and put them somewhere where I wouldn't eat them and now I can't find them.

But living way back here in the woods, I prob'ly won't get any.

Bought some fresh Brussels sprouts today to try Cher's tip on the orange-ginger glaze. I can't wait for supper! Not sure what else, maybe while the grill is fired up I'll make some seasoned potato wedges.

Went to the Winco today, and they now stock my favorite pepperoni brand (Margherita). I am one happy boy! I usually bring back from Rhody about 6 sticks after the Christmas visit. Which oddly enough, always gets my luggage inspected by the TSA. "No, it's not dynamite sticks, just freakin' pepperoni - dammit! Forgetaboutit."

just a vehicle for a boatload of guacamole that is very limey tonight. The limes were very juicy!

After a day of busy errands, it's easy. No trick or treaters here; we live on the riverbank and not on the street. I did, today, see five turkey vulltures riding a big log in the water. That was just crazy. I thought perhaps they were just ducks dressed up for Halloween. Boo!
