Roasted cauliflower and lentil soup

Ingredients
3/4- 1 head cauliflower
2 q chicken stock
1 onion
3 c white lentils
1 t garlic powder
black pepper to taste

Directions
Rinse and chop cauliflower. Toss with olive oil then bake on a pizza pan or cookie chest in a 350° oven for 45 minutes, turning once. Meanwhile sauté onions until caramelized. In a large pot, combine all the ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Puree with a hand blender and serve.

can I use my Cuisinart one? Love lentils, but my wife won't go near cauliflower in any shape or form.

It's getting cold here so I too am getting back into the swing of things!
