We had a nice lunch at a restaurant today, but the RG is not into cooking right now, so I don't know what we'll have.

(14,733 posts)as a 'thanksgiving bonus', so we didn't bother to wait for t-day, and bought a roast. Popped it in the crockpot with a can of beef broth this morning, had it with green beans and mashed yukon gold potatoes mixed with a bit of milk and cheddar cheese. Got enough for leftovers tomorrow, and I made a gravy with the broth and drippings that were left in the crockpot.

(35,654 posts)This one also had a nice view of a courtyard with about 30 trees wrapped up with blue Christmas lights.
We each had mussels. Also a couple orders of chicken wings.
At the lunch place, the RG had chicken pailliard and I had a cheeseburger and salad.
So in all, quite a day of dining out.
