What's for Dinner, Sat., Dec. 20, 2014

A couple soups. Cream of tomato and butternut squash/apple soup.

Slow-roasted sausage and turkey bacon in the oven now. They will be accompaniments/toppings.

I'll also dream up a couple salads; not sure what, yet, but I did get a beautiful bunch of spinach.

I have a small gathering Christmas party tonight, so everything is a little on the light side.

I suppose it's time to think of something, if only because I might need to run to the store.

Been doing lots of sandwiches of late to use up some several year old pepper jam and relish in the fridge, but I doubt the housemate will want sandwiches for dinner again tonight.

Fish on the stove, fries in the oven. And the last of the salad items from the fridge.

When I land in Rhody tomorrow, the 'rents will have a classic French meat pie awaiting. Yum!

Thin crust, double cheese, bell pepper and Italian sausage. Had three slices which leaves plenty for snacks.

Some red wine and Swan Lake on the screen. Admittedly, I snoozed a bit during the performance but Tchaikovsky didn't.
