(35,648 posts)Except I'd change the cole slaw to tossed green salad.
But I like cole slaw, too, especially in sesame ginger dressing.
I looked so hard for a basil cream sauce recipe last week and wasn't satisfied with anything I found in terms of internet recipes.
For tonight, I decided on this seal-a-meal bag (the RG made me five meals), and it was so outrageously good. Fresh cranberry beans, tender beef stew meat, and so much sauce that it almost qualified as a soup (it had plenty of good olive oil in it!)
Later, after it gets dark and I've done all I can in the garden, I will open a seal-a-meal bag of eggplant spread. I think I'll put it on low-carb tortilla shells after I've crisped them up. Also have a tossed salad (greens from garden) with asiago peppercorn dressing.
Now for my downfall of the evening: a student gave me an incredibly beautiful apple cake from a French bakery in the town where our college is located. I'd like to think I could give it away to neighbors, but that's not gonna' happen.

p.s. did I tell you that I love food?
Also, did I tell you an apple cake pastry will have nothing to do with anyone's grade?
