Picking up the RG at the airport after his week long trip to LA. I think there was a food show there. Anyway, might have dinner out at our favorite Portuguese restaurant.

(36,818 posts)We are having an extended family dinner this afternoon. I'm going to steam some corn, red potatoes, and green beans with some Old Bay seasoning, along with some good sliced tomatoes and baked beans for sides. I churned some homemade chocolate ice cream yesterday for dessert.

(21,024 posts)I parted out some Costco chickens a while back and left the breasts whole. I've been roasting them on top of bread stuffing which is delish. Today I rubbed the chicken with jerk spice an laid it atop carrot chunks and quartered onions, first microwaving the veggies for a few minutes so that everything is done at the same time. Roasted cauliflower rolled in olive oil, crumbs and parmesan as a side. It's an easy meal for two.

(2,016 posts)I haven't made these in over a decade. Once again, I woke up with a craving... Went to the grocery to buy some chunky bleu cheese dressing, too.
And, I'll finish up the leftover mushroom risotto and the leftover broccoli. And beer.

(146,218 posts)I mapped out all the locations in Atlanta shortly before arrival and hit one the 2nd day in town.
They have a $5 special right now - 2 pieces, 2 sides and 2 biscuits. Heaven, I tell you!

(50,130 posts)I suspect that your RG and a family member of mine might have a similar track, NJCher. When my family member goes to the shows, he lives large.
