6. ever since I went to the Scandinavian Christmas Fair...

....I am crazy for red cabbage, braised for a long time. It was just delicious.

I cooked it with the pork and added some vinegar at the end. Perfect.

10. Our family has used a Fannie Farmer recipe for Braised Red Cabbage and Apples

for many, many years. I use red wine vinegar and add a little ground caraway at the end. It is heavenly. Wish I could cook mine with pork, but there are those in my family that won't eat it

2. Mongolian beef and broccoli

and mushrooms. I just have a hankering for spicy beef today.

4. Potato mushroom hash, we got some morels and some shitakes

at the market on Sunday, and steak.

Seasoning of this is very simple and the taters and onions are already on the stove. The Mushrooms are ready and the steak is thinly cut.

8. I like cooking

it is one of my bad habits, and with the food allergy, we eat very well in this house.

The conures begged, no, they did not get morels, way, way too expensive... but they got shitakes. (And steak, no way I can cook steak and not give them steak)
