Chocolate Dipped Fruit Cones!...
My son prefers fruit over anything so for his birthday, I made chocolate dipped fruit cones. The picture is from the internet and the recipe I used was a combination of some I found online. I used regular waffle cones but I think chocolate cones themselves would be good. I melted one cup semi sweet morsels (only because I forgot to buy a bar of good chocolate when I went to the store!) with a teaspoon of coconut oil. I dipped the cones onto the chocolate and spooned a little more inside. I WISH I had coated the entire inside because I think the chocolate goes well with the fruit. I dipped the rims in sprinkles and put them in the freezer to harden.
For the dip, I used 8 oz. strawberry cream cheese with a little less than a small jar of marshmallow fluff. I did not add powdered sugar as some recipes called for because I felt this would all be sweet enough together.
The cones don't hold as much fruit as the pictures appear unless you cut into very small pieces. I added the fruit just before eating. We had fruit for dipping along the side.
These were delicious!
