2. Ground Coriander is called Cumin.

It's a hell of a lot cheaper if you can buy it in the little packages in the "ethnic" food rack in your local supermarket than if you buy it in jars from the spice rack.. It has a flavor that is not achieved with a substitute.

and only 1/2 oz. at a time. Keep it cool and dark and toss it after 3-6 months, depending on how cool you keep it. Ground spices degrade pretty rapidly.

Freshly ground coriander is one of the reasons I bought a spice grinder.
