What's for Dinner, Thurs., Sept. 24, 2015

BLTs using a bulls blood heirloom tomato. The RG fixed up the tomato for me before he took of this a.m., and it has olive oil, basil, and garlic on it, just waiting for me to get home and have it tonight.

We had a wonderful time with our guests last night: chicken stew, a pizza, zucchini-mushroom salad, roasted peppers, some type of carrot salad with cumin and persimmons in it. Tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella. There was more, but I can't think of it all.

Put it in the crock pot this morning.

In other news, spent everything I made over the last few days on an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. The new dog decided to eat my current pair last night just as I was getting ready to go to sleep. I was long overdue for an exam and a new prescription anyway, but dang have bifocal type glasses gotten expensive, even with cheap frames and no special coatings. Gotta make sure I don't leave the new ones out where the dog can get em.

So it was frozen pizza night.

Today, it'll be something different. See you at the next post of "what's for dinner?"
