Very tasty glaze recipe

I made this yesterday to glaze a ham I was baking. I'm sure it could be used on fish, chicken, whatever....

Toast 2 tsp. five spice powder in 1 tblsp. peanut oil about 1 minute. Add 1 cup hoisin sauce, 3 tblsp each honey and rice vinegar, 1 tblsp soy sauce and 1 cup of water. Boil until reduced to about 1 1/2 cups, about 5 minutes.

I don't have peanut oil, so I substituted veg oil. I also don't have any rice vinegar, so I subbed apple cider vinegar.

I think I may add more pepper & garlic to glaze some salmon steaks I have.
