(32,967 posts)Kielbasa, cabbage were frequent. Fried Perch& fries on Fridays. I think some of the mothers worked off the kids tuition $ by cooking. Oatmeal & Peanut Butter cookies...
My dad liked a take& bake pizza place down the road, rectangular pan on Saturday Nights.

(1,451 posts)over a bed of onions and mushrooms, smothered in the most amazing sauerkraut from Trader Joe's (it has pickles and garlic in it). Smashed potatoes on the side

(68,552 posts)Roasted salmon on top. I made homemade Ranch dressing with buttermilk...and we had Sushi as an appetizer too...my grocery store had the sushi guy there today..really good. For dessert I have peanut butter cups (no gluten ) or gluten free cookies. And a glass of Riesling...I found a new wine Mount St. Michel Riesling...very reasonable but good...better than the expensive wine I bought recently.
