My last experiment of the day. Wanted dessert, and I wanted some alcohol. Bu I didn't want to make rum balls. Because I'm out of walnuts. The last batches of rum balls I made 2 weeks ago, remained unformed. We ate the ball of dough with spoons. As I reduce the steps of this recipe, and simplify to the point of eating a handful of vanilla wafers and having a shot of rum to wash them down, I discovered a touch of serving elegance. I arranged 6 cookies in a small dish. I poured rum over the cookies and honey over that and topped with chocolate jimmies. No whipped cream, but that would edify this sweet surprise, By the time I added sprinkles, the rum had melted the cookies. I ate my concoction with a small spoon. It was exactly what I wanted Now, to bed

Is there a Phila. treat called jimmies? What are they?

(51,584 posts)the choc sprinkles "jimmies". I don't know why. I thought they were "officially" named that until I left the city and no one knew what I was talking about.

We hosted an exchange student from Brazil, and one of the popular party foods are Brigadeiros. You cook condensed milk and coco powder, make it into balls and roll them in jimmies. Easy and awesome
