(51,444 posts)faster when modeled. Chocolate can't take the high temperatures at our un-air conditioned fair buildings.

(1,336 posts)used the term "icing" instead of "frosting"! We Canucks use the icing term, and in the case of this magnificent themed cake, "icing" is indeed the correct term! Congratulations!

(26,281 posts)make it themselves at home which (even though I am a guy) is not all that hard to do plus in my opinion homemade tastes alot better than any store bought product for finishing a cake.
Not that I bake much anymore, in fact its been 4+ years since I last made anything homemade as the joy kind of went out of it after my mother passed.

(9,715 posts)At least it allows your friends here to view a beautiful creation. Great work!
I know its work cuz my dear wife is a baker and I a trained cook. Baking is hard work and awesome inspiration but messy as heck flour all over sugar running rampant. I never have enuf butter, but gosh those last ten pounds didnt come from my cooking.
Looks delicious. Penguins are one of my grandsons latest obsessions.
