Last night's Thai Turkey Meatloaf was okay.

I think it needed something something...If I make it again I will add some olek sambal to the meat mixture.
I like a little (lot) more heat.

I also added my usual bulb of garlic when the recipe calls for any garlic at all. Kapow.

I bake a loaf of No Knead Bread this morning...have fresh mozzarella cheese, going to roast a few tomatoes with garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt/pepper....while the tomatoes roast... I will make basil pesto with pistachios, garlic, olive oil and paramigiano cheese...

using a panini press...

slice bread, butter sides, layer on pesto, mozzarella and roasted tomato slice...grill...drink with white wine...

A local pizza place is having a one night only 1/2 price sale. No one delivers where we live but 1/2 off makes it worth the drive.

We're gonna cheat and buy a chunk of dough from the pizzeria down the block.

Home-made tomato sauce with basil and garlic. Anchovies, onions and green peppers. Very fresh mozzarella cheese chunks.

Spinach salad.

No dessert.

Early to bed because I have to play piano in the early morning.

Have a good night, everyone!

Cheeseburger sliders

Mine with deli mustard on a potato bun.
Pasta Salad for a side.

I'll have tea and mandarin oranges later. An Earl Grey decaf I think. I'm sure there are some cookies too.

FLFC had his yucky medicine quickly followed by fake bacon treats. He is much happier doing it that way.
He then had his slider with no bun or condoments. He seems to be feeling better tonight and ate with gusto. He has left to "help" TJ get ready for work so I don't have his rating for the dinner.

As I write this, he is on the couch singing the blues because TJ left for work. One would think he was dying.

He'll do a riff and I'll do a variation on it and he often changes his rhythm or pitch to imitate me. Sometimes he gets very perplexed when he can't go as low as me. My neighbors get amused in the summer when the windows are open.
