What's for Dinner, Fri., Dec. 7, 2018

Portuguese restaurant tonight, as the RG is coming back from Vail.

I hope we go to the one we went to at Thanksgiving. It looks like a wine cellar, although it's street level. Atmosphere is really great. They have this dish called "barbecued chicken," but it's not a tomato-based sauce. It's got peppers and olive oil over it, and it's grilled. If they are serving it tonight, that's what I'm going to have.

Last time they had orange cake, so that for dessert if it's still on the specials list.

you can look online for the recipe. It involves a box of Duncan Hines Orange Supreme cake mix.

Out of this world!

but I'm in NJ TOO!

Just arrived (here to celebrate grandson's 5th birthday, party tomorrow,) and waiting to meet up somewhere with daughter (after she does a bit more party organizing,) so may be a close-by place (between Mt. Laurel and Medford.)

Portuguese would be great for me too, but I somehow doubt it!

It would be great if you were around the Ironbound!

Have a wonderful time at the grandson's b'day party tomorrow; I know you will!

In the Instant Pot. I use the Test Kitchen recipe without modifications..but..I do skin the chicken first.

Maybe I will make brownies tonight, but I kind of extremely doubt it. I'm more tired than hungry.

Tonight when I brought home groceries I washed and chopped my herbs and put them in the deep freezer. I'm hoping to get through the week without having to run back to the store for a little thing like cilantro. Who knows? It's worth a shot.

Does anybody here do meal planning for the week ahead of time?

So I went to Mighty Taco (it's only in WNY, as far as I know).
Had 3 mighty tacos, medium hot sauce, with sour cream.
One cherry empanada
cup o' water.
On a side note I was going to buy a Mighty Taco christmas ornament but they wanted over $10.00 and it looked really drab so I said no thanks.
