I've never made it with out cheese, but I do a lot of pasta with the above ingredients, and probably wouldn't miss the cheese.

squash foil wrapped in the oven. Take our when done,soft,and let set for a couple of minutes.

Depending on how you want to serve,in the shell or scooped out into a bowl,add BUTTER and brown sugar and enjoy one of natures greatest treat.

If you do the bowl method,use your potato masher to blend the squash into a smooth serving dish . BTW,honey works even better than brown sugar.
