Thus, I am cooking again. Tonight was ribs with BBQ sauce. We had rice and a kale salad also. Strawberries and diary free 'squirty' whipped cream. To add insult to injury...not only do I have a gluten allergy but I am also lactose intolerant. Gluten was hard enough but dairy is worse.

And some cheese, but being unable to do both, wow, that's tough

My late grandfather, he died in the Late 1970's was a cook in lumber camps in Maine as a young man. This recipe is handed down from him. Great Stuff really. His onions and Salt Pork on white bread, not so much.

I found some turkey stashed in the freezer, so I heated it up with a jar of gravy and served it up with Stovetop stuffing and microwaved broccoli. Not exciting, but it worked.

Pan fried pork chops - salt, pepper, garlic and chili powders
Stewed apples with cinnamon and a touch of sugar

We were going to have a veggie, but neither of us did any thing about it.

FLFC had some scraps of our chops as well as some ground beef. Mr. Picky Eater liked the pork. He did give an apple piece a lick for the flavor before turning his nose up at it.

Sliced and fried. Side of broccoli with garlic and butter.

I have some leftover old fashioned oatmeal from cooking a batch yesterday. Will top it with some maple agave syrup and a pc of tst for dessert.

I have an apple crisp in the oven for a friend’s birthday treat tomorrow.
