Ribs

Brats

Italian sausage (both the brats and sausage with onions and peppers)

Roasted potato salad

Celery salad

Cole Slaw

Baked beans

Green beans with tomatoes and Caesar dressing

I'm not getting the responses for the party that I usually get, so I may cut that down somewhat.

there is just too much salt in it. she salts the celery. she adds lots of salt AND celery salt. AND ...... all the sodium in the Parmesan cheese !!!
her recipe calls for 2 1/2 teaspoons of salt ..... PLUS the sodium in the cheese

CUT IT OUT ON THE OVER SODIUM ALREADY !!!!! [ note ... i have congestive heart failure. this 1 dish contains all the sodium i can consume all day !! ]

Note: 5000 mg of sodium a day is equal to two teaspoons of salt. The 2010 CDC guidelines recommend 2300 mg for people under 50 years old and 1500 for those over 50. Americans consume, on average, between 2645 mg and 4945 mg of sodium each day, almost twice the recommended amount

they have perfectly good fried chicken at Lucky Wishbone, Safeway has adequate potato salad, and the rest is snacky things, fruit and beverages. the one item I will make is a zebra cake, but it consists of whipped cream and chocolate wafers, not exactly cooking.

slaw, pasta salad, corn on the cob, baked beans.

We aren't celebrating per se. Half are running a 10K tomorrow and half are walking it. We will come home famished and my husband likes to grill stuff so it works for me.

We are having a few people drop by. It's buffet style. Pork chops breaded with mustard and herbs
a Roman dish—tuna with celery and cannellinis
stuffed mushrooms with cheese
pasta with tomato sauce (another Roman dish ( pasta a la checca—from when he lived in Italy)
Italian sausages
grilled eggplant, zucchini, and red, yellow, and orange peppers.

There are several kinds of breads, some toasted, some with garlic and butter or olive oil.

Also a bowl of macerated fruit: kiwi, blackberries, blueberries, and mango.

I made potato salad and corn on the cob. We had RH&B slaw too.

It was wonderful.

We always had pulled pork BBQ for the 4th back in KY so this was perfect.
