Baking bread today

I want my fresh tomatoes on a sturdy bread. My loaf is in the oven, almost done rising, always a fascinating miracle. And I have 10 fresh tomatoes I picked Fri. and Sat.

garden freshly sliced tomatoes on homemade bread!

The weather has finally cooled down so I can start baking bread again. It was far too hot during the summer to crank up the oven. I truly missed my homemade bread! But I'm back in production!
