Except hubby didn’t tell me he used the last of the grits so it will actually be shrimp and polenta 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's a cool grey drizzly day that started out at freezing and barely broke forty today.

Mixed beans with ham and veggies. Trying out different seasonings. Mustard (new to me) with garlic and bay.

I have some deli meats, so perhaps a sandwich on sourdough bread to go with the soup.

FLFC will have beef. If he asks nice it will be in the form of a mini-cheeseburger.

with some Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled, added to make it more of a main dish. Caesar salad, made according to my dad's recipe, for a side. I saw about romaine/e. coli, but checked my lettuce at https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/wcm/connect/7f4bf949-abbe-4bed-b1c9-9c9760c38c33/rc-115-2019-retail-list.pdf?MOD=AJPERES and it was not one of the ones listed.

fried potatoes, salad. I will be going to New Orleans soon where my dear daughter will make real crab cakes, jumbalaya, gumbo and shrimp. And beignets at Cafe du Monde of course.
