What's for Dinner, Wed., Nov. 27, 2019

Spicy lamb vegetable soup for starters. It's a creamy soup and has lots of the usual soup vegetables for this time of year.

Beef Wellington. The beef is ground beef.

Tossed ruffled red leaf salad. The RG marinated some sliced heirlooms in basil, garlic, and olive oil. We put the tomatoes, sliced Persian cucumbers, and various colored peppers in the salad.

Dessert: hot ginger tea and a shortbread cookie with a peeled Clemantine mandarin (Cutie).

Side: Romaine & spinach salad with red bell peppers, cucumbers and onions, my own marinated artichoke hearts, homemade Italian dressing and Trader Joe's Cheese & Garlic croutons. My husband will probably have some tempranillo to drink. I'll have rooibos, since I have to take metformin with my last meal.

Dessert: Honeycrisp apple slices and peanut butter. I needed the calories of the peanut butter, so that my doctor won't yell at me.
