Flank steak, seared in the cast iron pan. It has lots of pepper on it.
A "bake until bubbly" pasta casserole with chopped veggies and pork cubes, browned. The noodles are the wide ones--I think it's called pappardella.
Tossed salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, radish slices (purple). Homemade vinaigrette dressing.
For dessert, I'm stuffing MacIntoshes with pumpkin-caramels and a little butter. Will serve with a spoonful of yogurt.

(38,553 posts)We were going to have leftover quiche, but Al had to go to the pet store and there's a new Chinese restaurant in the same plaza.
It's not worth a second trip. There's a Chinese take-out place less than 1/2 mile from our home, and it's much better than this new place.
The egg roll needed more time in the fryer, my chicken wing was under-cooked and the lo mein noodles were starchy and gummy. Also, when it comes to "house" lo mein, it should have a lot of veg and protein--not so much w/ this one.
Al said that when he asked the counter person something about the menu, she had to ask 3 other people before he got an answer.
