What's for Dinner, Thurs., Mar. 26, 2020

Pork and pinto beans topped with grits. Also chopped onion and celery. Olive oil drizzle. Crackers on the side (club crackers, which I like to spread with butter).

Dessert: orange slices and dark chocolate.

of my mother's southern cornbread being poured into a cast iron skillet, hot bacon drippings. Cut a slice while hot and make a slit to hold the butter, thanks for the sensory experience of a great meal, made simple.

was delicious. I used mushrooms, beef broth onions, garlic, dairy free half and half...fresh thyme and cognac. I also cooked shrimp in a little lemon, plant butter, garlic, salt and pepper. I made garlic bread and peas and carrots too. For dessert fresh strawberries with almond whipped cream for me and regular for hubs. I grated a Hershey's kiss on my strawberries.

Four Legged Food Critic turned up his nose at his chicken nuggets that were specially prepared for him and tasty yesterday. He ate some of our pork chops.
