I inaugurated my cast iron waffle maker. It's circular. I seasoned it. I made the waffle batter.

And it made simply wonderful waffles. (Excuse the alliteration.)

for the weekend, but plans change.

We'll bag them up and make no contact deliveries to family and friends later.

We've been cooking like fools. We could survive for a week on the leftovers.

and a Snickerdoodle type with cinnamon chips. Maybe some Peanut Butter cookies, too. We're going to get out the stand mixer and let it do the hard work.

If you were local, we'd bring you some. 🍪 ❤

of oatmeal raisin cookies ... all 5 of us were together for dinner yesterday. Minus the dozen cookies I gave to my son who doesn’t live here anymore to take home, there were no cookies left. They devoured them after the meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, and applesauce.

But sometimes I do get the ambition to bake. Usually it’s cookies. Occasionally a cake.

Sausage balls probably aren’t the healthiest thing either.

They’re a favorite of a friend of mine who’s sheltering here, so I just thought wth, I’ll make a batch!
