What's for Dinner, Wed., May 27, 2020

Pasta con tonnato. The RG's version has capers, lemon juice, tuna, of course, and scallions. Also yellow pepper and talleggio.

Salmon salad.

Toasted brioche.

Apple for dessert. I bought a new variety but I can't remember the name. It has the word "dragon" in it, I think.

Chicken fajitas, taco rice, iced tea

We’ve been using these high-fiber, low carb, tortillas lately. They’re pretty good.

Pinto beans in ham stock from the freezer. The usual veggies. Seasoning this time is mainly garlic with some chili powder and black pepper

Tossed salad with lots of baby spinach and some vinaigrette.

FLFC was hungry earlier and had plain old dog food(!) and then napped. He ate a few leftover steak trimmings, but is now ignoring them.

These are some of my favorites

They also have a "See Jane on Fire" sauce and "See Spot in Heat" sauce.

I love going to those hot sauce shops and tasting them. There are so many good sauces and seasonings

These are great!!!

I wish we had those kinds of shops where you can try the sauces. I imagine one can only do a few, though, right?

I have tears rolling out of my eyes and it's not from hot sauce!

like Hot Springs AR or Wisconsin Dells, and "historic" towns that have good local shops and diners. I'm sure the tasting will be a thing of the past now.

I always had to spend at least one or two afternoons of a vacation trip tasting all the good sauces and seasonings, then hitting a few wineries.
