What's for Dinner, Sun., May 31, 2020

Seafood soup. It has cod, clams, potatoes, celery, onion, carrot, bay leaf, English clotting cream, a little red pepper.

Heirloom tomato salad with burrata and basils. Red and yellow tomatoes, very colorful, that were dipped in olive oil and garlic.

Dessert: tea biscuits with hazelnut spread.

Salad
Cabbage w/onion baked in foil
Baked butternut squash

======

FLFC has eaten already, the smell of the ribs cooking made him hungry. He had part of an all beef kosher hotdog, some steak trimmings, and dog food(!)

He also had a half fake bacon treat as an appetizer.

He is sleeping dinner off already.

5. Meatloaf

a fennel, celery and apple salad with a vinaigrette with lemon juice and grainy mustard; and hot German potato salad. Both salads were pretty good!

The meatloaf was okay but usually when I cook it at the group home I work at, I use 80% lean beef, at home I had 93% and it wasn't as well suited.

with black pepper and lemon slices. Along with some baked "veggie tots" I got in the frozen section. Potato, broccoli and cheddar, sounded good for something premade, so I thought I'd give it a try.

did you like them? I'm thinking they might be okay if you didn't expect them to be like tots with potato.

Nothing spectacular or fancy, but had a fair amount of broccoli and cheese flavor. I'd get them again, for a quick side to something. These are the ones I got:

They have a tater, spinach & asiago one that I might try too

breast. It tasted really good...dessert was blueberries and vanilla yogurt...sigi's dairy free whole milk vanilla yogurt is the best I ever tasted. It is made with milk but the lactose is removed. I used a couple of tablespoons and mixed it up.
