What's for Dinner, Sun., Sept. 27, 2020

Seafood soup, made with cod. Has croutons.

Cucumber salad with red onion and sour cream.

Apple pie with squacaroni (sp?). It's a kind of cheese made in Italy and it has to be used the same day it's purchased. The RG made his own.

Sorry this is so late, everyone! I got involved in the garden and completely forgot about the time.

These were on sale at an incredibly low price. It's a tough cut, so I made no attempt to simulate barbecue --- just cut it in half, put it in a pan with a good puddle of apple cider in the bottom, seasoned it with sage and thyme and rosemary, sealed it up and left it in the oven all day at a low heat (from noon till six thirty at 275).

Boiled potatoes and broccoli alongside.

Prepared by a family in our little rural town who are making ends meet by selling home cooked dinners one day a week.
